  • About Jake Seal

British producer, director and actor Jake Seal is also an experienced entrepreneur, technologist and financier. Having had a significant impact on the British entertainment industry, he has risen to prominence in the global filmmaking industry, financing, developing and producing several big-name movie franchises that were previously struggling to get off the ground, including the likes of Back Roads and Jeepers Creepers.

Following the commercial success of the first Jeepers Creepers film, which was released in 2001, the movie was swiftly followed by a sequel released two years later. However, despite both movies’ commercial success, the franchise remained dormant for some time, despite efforts to resurrect it by various parties over a 15-year period. It was only once Jake came on board as producer and financier of Jeepers Creepers 3 that the franchise’s fortunes turned around, with the film entering and completing production within just eight months.

This is not the only example of Jake Seal’s vision, expertise and adept skills in helping to breathe new life into ailing projects. Based on the New York Times bestselling novel, themovie Back Roads had failed to enterproduction more than a decade after being optioned by Infinity Films in 2008. Again, it was only once Jake placed his weight behind the movie that things started moving once more and the film was successfully shot. Back Roads was subsequently debuted at Tribeca and was picked up by Samuel Goldwyn Films.

As a principal at several studios and production companies, including Black Sets, Jake is known for his innovative contributions to the filmmaking industry, with his expertise encompassing numerous technologies including advanced 3D live-action holograms, augmented reality and stereoscopic 3D. A visionary thinker and problem solver, his most notable film productions include Jeepers Creepers: Reborn (2022), Willy’s Wonderland (2021), Blaze (2018), Jeepers Creepers 3 (2017) and Born to Be Blue (2015).

In addition to serving as a principal at Black Sets, Jake is also a principal of Black Hangar Studios in London and ORWO Studios in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His vision has always inspired him to do better for the film industry. Following his passion for making movies, he strives to produce films that inspire audiences all over the world.

Known for leveraging ground breaking new technologies in his work, Jake Seal has driven integration of ultra-modern techniques with traditional camera, production, printing, manufacturing and archiving methods. He has worked with leading producers, directors and actors on many acclaimed films and continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in film production.
